Solid Watercolor Paint Set 48 Colours for Gouache Sketching and Painting

This solid watercolour paint set provides 48 distinct colours in a single, portable box, making it a practical choice for artists, students, and hobbyists who need a broad palette without carrying multiple tubes or pans. The solid powder format activates quickly with a wet brush, allowing for immediate use and reducing mess compared to liquid paints. Whether you are sketching on location, painting at a desk, or teaching beginners, this set offers a straightforward solution for creating colourful artwork. The three available colour themes—Black Knight, girl pink, and Sunshine Blue—give you options to suit different styles and preferences.

Features and Construction

The set is built around simplicity and portability, with each colour block housed in a compact box that keeps the palette organised during travel or storage. The solid formulation means no liquid spills and minimal waste, as you can activate exactly the amount of paint you need.

Material and Build

The paint is made from solid colour watercolour material, a powder-based formulation that becomes water-soluble when wet. This design reduces drying time for unused paint and makes the set long-lasting under normal use. The box itself is lightweight and stackable for convenient storage.

Size and Practical Fit

With a stated capacity of 110 (likely millilitres total), the set is sized for use on a desk or as a travel companion. Each of the 48 colour blocks is compact enough to fit into a small bag or art case, allowing artists to take a full colour range to outdoor locations or classes without bulk.

Uses and Placement

The gouache formulation makes this set versatile for both opaque and transparent painting techniques. It can be used in sketchbooks, on watercolour paper, or on other absorbent surfaces, and the solid format is especially useful for controlled applications where you want to build colour gradually.

Event or Professional Use

Art teachers, sketch artists, and designers can use this set for classroom demonstrations, client sketches, or concept work where a range of colours must be available quickly. The solid paint does not dry out as rapidly as tube gouache, making it suitable for intermittent use during long sessions.

Everyday Home Use

For home painters and beginners, this set provides an affordable way to explore colour mixing and painting without investing in many separate tubes. The included colours cover basic hues and some variants, supporting both simple colouring and more detailed studies.

Benefits and Buying Value

The main value of this set lies in its combination of colour variety, portability, and the waste-reducing solid format. You get 48 colours in one purchase, which saves space and money compared to buying individual pans or tubes. The solid paint can be reactivated even after it has sat unused, meaning you are less likely to waste paint that dries out.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The solid watercolour blocks do not require special storage conditions; simply let them dry after use and they are ready for the next session. This low-maintenance feature reduces the need for constant cleaning or replacement of dried-out paints.

Why Choose This Product

If you need a wide colour range in a portable format, this 48-colour watercolour set delivers exactly that. The gouache type allows for both opaque and transparent effects, and the solid formulation keeps the palette tidy and long-lasting. The choice of three colour theme options adds a personalised touch without affecting the practical performance.
