EP5 Large Moving Coil Closed HiFi Gaming Headset with Mic Cable and Sound Card Options
This wired EP5 headset combines a large moving coil driver with a closed-back acoustic design, making it suited for both HiFi listening and competitive e-sports gaming. The closed structure helps contain sound, so you can play without disturbing others nearby. Two colour configurations let you choose between a straightforward standard version with a 1.5-metre cable and no microphone, or an expanded E-sports kit that adds the GH22 microphone cable and the GEW1 game sound card for enhanced voice communication and audio tuning. Features and Construction
The EP5 headset is built around a large moving coil driver intended to deliver detailed, full-range audio. Its closed-back housing reduces external noise pickup and sound spill, which is useful in both gaming and studio monitoring settings.
Large Moving Coil Driver
The moving coil driver is optimised for HiFi audio reproduction. This design aims to provide clear mids and controlled bass, which supports accurate sound localisation in games and music playback.
Closed-Back Enclosure
The closed-back construction helps isolate the listener from ambient noise and prevents game audio from leaking out. This feature is beneficial for late-night gaming sessions or shared workspaces.
Wired Connectivity
A wired connection ensures low-latency audio transmission, critical for real-time communication and sound cues in competitive games. The headset uses standard audio jacks compatible with PCs, consoles, and mobile devices.
Uses and Placement
This headset is designed primarily for gaming and monitoring applications, with the option to upgrade to a full communication kit.
E-sports and Competitive Gaming
The EP5 suits e-sports players who need reliable soundstage and voice clarity. The optional GH22 microphone cable and GEW1 sound card further improve team communication and audio customisation.
Home HiFi and Monitoring
For personal listening or monitoring tasks, the standard configuration offers a straightforward plug-and-play experience. The closed-back design also makes it usable for vocal recording or editing without microphone bleed.
Everyday Multimedia Use
Beyond gaming, the headset works for music, films, and online calls, providing consistent audio performance across different devices.
Benefits and Buying Value
Choosing between two well-defined configurations lets you match the headset to your exact needs without paying for features you won't use.
Flexible Configuration Options
The standard version is ideal if you already have a separate microphone or sound card. The E-sports kit adds a dedicated mic cable and game sound card, saving you the cost of buying them individually later.
Low-Latency Audio Performance
The wired connection eliminates wireless lag, which is crucial for rhythm games, FPS titles, and any scenario where split-second audio response matters.
Why Choose This Product
If you want a large moving coil headset with a closed-back design and the ability to expand with a microphone and sound card, the EP5 series offers a straightforward, specification-driven choice.
