Dog Lick Pad for Bathing Distraction – Wall Mounted Silicone Slow Feeder Training Mat

A nervous dog can turn routine grooming into a difficult task. This silicone lick pad offers a simple, effective way to keep your pet occupied while you clip nails, bathe, or visit the vet. By holding a spread of peanut butter or yoghurt on its textured surface, it encourages slow licking and provides a calming distraction. The pad mounts easily to walls, tiles, or kennel doors using the included suction cups, making it suitable for use in the bathroom, kitchen, or at the grooming salon. Made from food-grade silica gel, it is BPA-free and tested to US FDA standards, so you can use it with confidence. Available in blue, green, or red, this compact mat measures 180 x 180 x 12 mm and is simple to clean after each use.

Features and Construction

This lick pad is designed around practical needs: a calming tool for pets that also fits into a busy owner’s routine. Its structure and materials support easy attachment, cleaning, and repeated use.

Material and Build

The pad is moulded from food-grade silicone, a material chosen for its flexibility, non-toxic safety, and resistance to wear. It contains no BPA and meets US FDA testing standards, so it is safe for contact with pet treats and foods. The textured surface helps hold spreads in place while the dog licks, and the silicone can be rinsed clean under warm water. There are no small parts or hard edges that could cause discomfort.

Size and Practical Fit

At 180 x 180 x 12 mm, the pad is compact enough to fit on most bathroom tiles, kennel doors, or smooth wall surfaces. It is lightweight and portable, making it easy to take along to the vet clinic or grooming appointment. The suction cups hold firmly on non-porous, clean surfaces and can be repositioned as needed. The flat design means it does not add bulk to storage or travel bags.

Uses and Placement

The versatility of a wall-mounted lick pad extends beyond one scenario. With suction-cup attachment and food-safe materials, it suits several everyday and professional settings.

Event or Professional Use

Groomers, veterinary practices, and kennel staff can use this pad to reduce animal stress during procedures. By offering a positive focus during nail trims, ear cleaning, or bathing, the pad helps create a calmer environment for both the pet and the handler. It attaches quickly and can be disinfected easily between uses.

Everyday Home Use

At home, the pad can be used during bathing, brushing, or any handling that makes a dog anxious. It is also useful as a slow-feeder mat for wet food or treats at mealtime. The suction cups let you mount it on a tiled wall, the side of a cabinet, or even a crate door, freeing your hands for the task at hand.

Benefits and Buying Value

Choosing a distraction pad that is safe to use and easy to maintain adds long-term value for pet owners. This silicone mat delivers that without unnecessary complexity.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

The silicone construction does not absorb odours or stains, and it cleans up with soap and water or a quick wipe. It can be used many times without losing its flexible hold or texture. There are no batteries, electronics, or parts to replace, keeping maintenance to a minimum.
